It comprises of eight Qualcomm’s custom Kryo 260 cores — four based on ARMs Cortex A72, whereas the other four on Cortex A53 cores.1 . Coupled with a new Adreno 509 GPU, the Note 5 Pro looks promising on paper. The Note 5 delivers on that front with a superb build and a completely new design. The Redmi Note series has been responsible for redefining the benchmark in the budget-midrange segment each year since its arrival into the country. Xiaomis own MIUI 9 runs the errands on this one; but sadly, its still based on Android 7. Those who don’t like a protruding camera bump will have a tough time to get accustomed to it, and the protrusion also puts it at risk with scratches when rested on its back. Sunlight legibility and viewing angles are also pretty decent — no complaints here.

The Redmi Note 5 Pro, on the other hand, is an all-new device, bringing the ‘Pro’ moniker to a Xiaomi device on our shores for the first time. Qualcomm states that the custom cores will aid performance drastically over the Snapdragon 630 SoC, which is used in some of the Note 5 Pro’s more expensive rivals. However, Xiaomi is trying to cater to a slightly higher class of smartphone buyers with the Note 5 Pro, which is reflected in its price tag — Rs 13,999 for the base 4GB/64GB variant and Rs 16,999 for the top 6GB/64GB variant. The size of the two lenses and the position of the LED flash hark back to Apple’s flagship.Overall, the Redmi Note 5 Pro is well-built for a phone in its category and although it takes a huge amount of inspiration from Apple’s flagship, it’s still a pleasant-looking handset. On paper, the Redmi Note 5 Pro has all the makings of another winner from Xiaomi’s stable.

We would recommend the black variant over other colours as it hides all the sensors on the front.1. The ‘standard’ Redmi Note 5 received considerable appreciation, despite being just an upgrade to the older Redmi Note 4. The top, as usual, houses the IR sensor and a secondary noise-cancelling microphone — stuff that you find as a standard in every Xiaomi smartphone out there. However, Xiaomi has taken the efforts to make sure the Note 5 Pro gets premium looks, which is why the corners are well-rounded to give an overall pleasant viewing experience. Also read: Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 reviewBuild, Design:Xiaomis arrival on the Indian soil changed the way the Aam-Aaadmi (common-man) smartphones were built. The fingerprint sensor rests on the back in a convenient position (towards the top-centre) and has a pretty fast response time. The screen produces bright images with good dynamic range and ample contrasts. Therefore, does Xiaomi’s latest warrior meet the expectations to be an all-rounder midrange smartphone? Read on.Valentine’s Day 2018 marked Xiaomi surprising its fans in India by launching the Mi TV 4 apart from two new devices under the ‘Redmi Note’ series. It is driven by a brand new Snapdragon processor, a new pair of eyes and new aesthetics; all of which is enough to attract the casual ‘Redmi Note consumer’ on paper. However, what pops most eyeballs is the rear camera setup — there’s no other way to put it, but the rear dual camera module totally resembles the one from Apples iPhone X.Display:Since the Note series marks larger displays, The Redmi Note 5 Pro also sports a massive 5. PVC injection molding machine Xiaomi claims to ditch the Type-C in favour of the micro USB for enhanced compatibility (micro USB chargers are easier to find everywhere as compared to USB Type-C) and also based on user/fan feedback. The bezels are narrower, thus making efficient utilisation of the real estate.

The headlining feature of the Note 5 Pro is the presence of a brand new Snapdragon 636 chipset — the first to debut from India. As for the Note 5 Pro, the Chinese giant hasn’t done anything extraordinary with the build and design of the phone — there’s an all-glass face with a tall 18:9 display and a rear built using a metal-plastic combo (yes, the top and bottom ends are still made of plastic to aid antenna reception). However, it isnt one of the best LCD panels we have seen (in our view, 2016’s Mi 5s LCD panel had a superb picture quality), so don’t expect Samsung’s AMOLED-rivalling experience. The only solution to elongate the ‘newness’ of your Redmi Note 5 Pro is to use a protective case (thankfully each one is now bundled with the phone, free) that’s thick enough to make the level-out rear. What disappointed — the presence of a micro USB port; a 2018 midrange smartphone could have seen the Type C port a new future-proof feature.Specifications, Performance:As stated, unlike the Redmi Note 5, the Redmi Note 5 Pro is built from the ground up, and therefore, there’s a lot to talk about.99-inch IPS LCD display with 18:9 aspect ratio protected by an unspecified version of Corning Gorilla Glass. Xiaomi is a brand that is usually synonymous with the budget category, despite having a presence in the premium segment with the Mi MIX 2

The black ink bottle will cost you Rs 309 while the colour bottle will cost you Rs 449 each and all bottles hold 65ml ink each. This makes it an average of 32 printed pages per day, for a whole year. As for scanning, you can retrieve scans of 1200 x 2400 dpi from the flatbed A4 scanner at speeds of around 11 to 32 seconds in monochrome or colour respectively. Our concern is with the build quality of the external moving parts since this printer is targeted to the home segment where it can be highly prone to damage by kids.As for the inks, the colour (CMY) ink bottles can print (yield) up to 7,500 pages, while the black (K) bottle can yield up to 4,500 pages. The rest of the printer is built with tough plastic and has a matte-finished exterior to avoid scratches and dirt.

The build quality seems rugged, except for a few areas that Epson should have paid attention to. We felt it would break easily, but also saw that the missing flap does not affect the printing or scanning in any way. The print head spews ink at 3pl (each droplet) that helps precise and high-quality prints. There is no display unit here, but the LED indicators are capable of helping you with error indications when needed. The printer is around the size of a small microwave oven with a top loading sheet feeder. The scanner lid, though removable, is also pretty feeble, but seems to be tough enough to handle daily jobs.Coming back to the printer itself, the L3150 is a multifunction A4 printer and can scan, print and copy.3 watts. It consists of six touch buttons for power, Wi-Fi, copying and error, and LED indicators for each of them. Epson iPrint, Epson Email Print, Remote Print are options from where you can print as easily from any given device. This flap is very delicate and could easily come off if not handled with care. The print quality, on both black and coloured prints, seems great. It all depends on the type of paper you use to get vibrant photos or deeper and sharper blacks. It comes with a one year warranty or a 30,000-page warranty, whichever comes earlier.. It is aimed at home and small businesses that have high volumes of printing but at varying intervals. The sheet feeder on the top has a small flap that partially guides the input paper and also helps keep dust from settling on the feed rollers.

Now compare this cost to conventional printers which combine all three colours and the head in a single cartridge, which costs nothing less than RS 1,400 each. As for what the company states, the printer produces between 38dB and 52dB when double color injection molding machine printing in black or photo modes respectively. It stands around 7-inches tall and 15-inches wide and would take up a tablespace of around 14-inches in depth — ideal to be kept in a corner where it can be accessed by everyone in the office or at home. The printer can print images or pages with a high resolution of 5760 x 1440 dots per inch (dpi), which is where conventional laser printers stand no chance. The front print head compartment lid is also made of thin plastic, but since it won’t be opened unless there is a paper jam or needs to the print head, there’s no complaint here.Lastly, the power consumption of L3150 is also remarkable. This allows the user to know how much ink is remaining and when he/she needs to refill or order for a new bottle. It sports wireless connectivity as well as the conventional USB, which makes it convenient for anyone to print from their laptops, tablets or smartphones connected to the same Wi-Fi network. This is an ideal home printer where school and college projects can be conveniently printed at home.

Users can order a complete set of ink or individual inks as required. The control panel is pretty simple and straightforward. Where laser printers can be an energy hog, the Epson Printer can operate at a maximum of 12 Watts in full peak or remain in standby quietly and consume as little as just 0. The Ink Tank printer gets a worthy recommendation from us to all those who are seeking a longer running and cheaper yielding printer for all their printing needs at home or office. Same is the case with the output sheet tray which seems to be built with thin plastic. As mentioned, each black print can cost you a minimum of 7 paise per print, depending on the amount of ink spread out on the page. Black pages or B/W prints can be procured at a stunning 33 pages per minute, while 15 colour copies can be printed in a minute, which also probably leaves laser printers behind.5 minutes. The number of pages per bottle will differ in every scenario depending on the amount of ink and the colour being used in each printout. It does not feature ADF (Automatic Document Feeder) or duplex printing options. The printer comes bundled with all four ink bottles (CMYK) that are estimated to run for around a year (total of around 12,000 pages) till you need the next refill. And yes, each ink tank has a transparent side wall that faces the user. The inks can be purchased from various stores and online websites at ease.As far as the performance is concerned, we did find the printer a little noisy, especially in a quieter room. Photos (borderless) printing can give you a regular 5x6-inch print in just 1. The Epson EcoTank L3150 printer is available for Rs 13,999 with around a one year of ink supply

Philippine officials say they were falsely declared by a private firm as recyclable plastic scraps and have asked Canada to take back the garbage.. The Philippines will shoulder the cost of the garbage shipment, Panelo said.At least 103 containers of household trash, including plastic bottles and bags, newspapers and diapers, were shipped in batches from Canada to the Philippines from 2013 to 2014.”

The Philippine government recalled its ambassador and consuls in Canada last week over Ottawa’s failure to comply with a May 15 deadline to take back the garbage.Duterte raised the garbage issue in a speech last month while officials from both countries were already discussing a resolution to the issue. Most of the shipping containers remain in two ports in Manila and northern Subic Freeport, sparking protests from environmental activists. The volatile president said he was ready to “declare war” against Canada over the issue.Duterte’s moves have been the latest strain in Philippine relations with Canada under Duterte.

Last year, Duterte ordered the cancellation of a multimillion-dollar agreement to buy 16 helicopters from Canada after its government decided to review the deal due to concerns that the Philippine military might use the aircraft in counterinsurgency assaults. In 2017, Trudeau said legal issues preventing the return of the garbage to Canada had been resolved. “The president’s stance is as principled as it is uncompromising: The Philippines as an independent sovereign nation must not be treated as trash by PVC injection molding machine Manufacturers other foreign nations.Presidential spokesman Salvador Panelo held a news conference to announce that Duterte has ordered officials to look for a private shipping company to transport the garbage to Canadian territory in an escalation of his increasingly adversarial stance.Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said last week that Canada has been working hard with Philippine officials and hopes to strike a resolution shortly but did not specify a time frame.”

“Obviously, Canada is not taking this issue nor our country seriously. The Filipino people are gravely insulted about Canada treating this country as a dumpsite,” Panelo said.Manila: Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte has moved to have truckloads of garbage that Filipino officials say were illegally shipped to the Philippines years ago be forcibly shipped back to Canada, Duterte’s spokesman said Wednesday.“If Canada will not accept their trash, we will leave the same within its territorial waters or 12 nautical miles out to sea from the baseline of any of their country’s shores,” Panelo said.Panelo said Duterte was upset “about the inordinate delay of Canada in shipping back its containers of garbage,” adding “We are extremely disappointed with Canada’s neither here nor there pronouncement on the matter

Don’t know other cities where people would offer a lift to a stranger,” says Jeetin, who was helped in his Kashmir Healing Hands Project by his friend Naushad Gayoor, a lecturer at the fine art college in Kashmir who also runs a foundation in his father’s name Gayoor Art Foundation. Another exercise I would give them would be to scribble on newspapers, and then ask them to decipher forms in the garble.

In the recent past, Rangher has been working on Monsoon in a Bottle Project for Art Oxygen in Mumbai, and eagerly hopes for a FICA grant to explore art further. They should be disturbed in their own psyche and that is what my installations do. That was an eye opener — that in such a volatile zone, the children were refreshingly simple, innocent and untouched — so soft inside,” explains Jeetin, who would listen to their stories, which were unlike any ever heard before about homes displaced, their stark reality. Ek autowallah ko aap achi tarah se baat karo aur sach bolo, aur woh aap ko apne ghar le jayaega, khana khilaaney (An auto driver who you’ve exchanged pleasantries with will invite you home for a meal),” he smiles. He was instrumental in a community art project in Kashmir called Healing Hands — Art intervention in a conflict zone and is among the few artists that have immersed themselves into society there. “I was also a part of the Serendipity Art Festival last year and the Jaipur Art Summit.. Which took me aback. He laughs at how his Air Force parents still have no clue as to what he is doing, as sometimes they see him with black soot on his face or even haldi! The art activist hopes to address wholesale PET injection molding machine serious issues through art, hopefully making a difference. An interactive performance artBut it was Kashmir that shaped and changed his perspective, “I taught at a public school called Motherland Public School in Anantnag District. A brilliant painter, he has evolved into an interactive performance artist who can be seen sitting on a charpoy in Goa, hugging people (which raised eyebrows) or wearing a turban on a beach, or sitting in a pothole, with a table of dinner laid out, or even working with the colour red on Delhi streets to capture the various facets that the colour represents, or capturing the essence of India in a golden rickshaw.Rangher’s family hails from Lahore and Rawalpindi till they moved to Delhi and later Bengaluru. Infact, many a times, he would himself extend his stay, living in different friend’s homes, working with children, hitching rides with strangers, “That was sweet, in a state where a stranger wearing a jacket and a knapsack, asking for a lift at night is suspicious, in the least. They understood. Most city children (in Delhi and Bengaluru) would see guns missiles and technology.

“The most important thing that needs to be taught at an art school is art management,” he stresses. “The best thing about Kashmir is the warmth of its people. I would ask school children if they liked art, and most said that it was a sin according to their teachings. It was a spiritually uplifting experience, a sort of Sufi healing,” avers artist Jeetin Rangher.

Most students come out with those ideals, making it difficult for them to earn. Wahan (Kashmir) pay, they saw thool (egg), phool, hearts and balloons. Most students were eight and ninth graders who then started enjoying working with colours and drawing.”The artist feels that art taught in colleges in India is very altruistic in nature — for art’s sake. His art explosion has lead him to Delhi, Bengaluru, Mumbai and Simla where he explores social issues. I would then give examples of something as mundane as setting up a home kitchen, or even designs on our clothes, how there was a pattern to it all, and that inadvertently came under art. Since 2010, Rangher has been leaving his art teacher job in Bengaluru, and travelling to Kashmir to work with the children in this conflict ridden state. So he calls himself the displaced artist, an aspect he can identify with in Kashmir as well. Since I was mostly working with the Sunni sect, many were apprehensive towards art.Rangher is also working towards a trans Siberian journey, that will see him paint and draw over 14 days across the region. And the Colombo Art Biennale is a favourite, I have been a couple of times,” says the painter who is altruistic in his search.

That quintessential searcher, who has with his paintings, installations and performance art… much to the chagrin of his parents and his Air Force upbringing, seen him don some madhatting avatars. Jeetin also worked at the Banat School, run by the J and K Yateem Trust.I stayed in Kashmir for seven years consecutively, sometimes for six months at a stretch teaching the children art, and healing them through art therapy.”No favourites, Jeetin feels that picking one artist ultimately negates the others. Sometimes, in that pursuit, he admits to being penniless, as material comforts don’t feature high in priorities.Ask him about some of his interactive installations that seem strange, and he says, “Detached people need to be provoked to react. The student of Ken School of Art in Bengaluru who did a masters in fine arts from Bangalore University in painting, recalls his first project, — Karavaan, where he travelled around North India when the BJP was brandishing the India Shining campaign, “I decided to travel in a golden rickshaw, starting from Shantiniketan, I made plastic missiles — plastic being a huge issue, and did about 18 pertinent works.Jeetin was also chosen among six artistes by the India Foundation For Arts for a special grant — Project 560 in 2014
